Over the years I’ve been involved with many radio stations including London’s Capital Radio.
One of my radio heroes is Roger Scott who I worked with at Capital.

Every Thursday I play oldies from the Sixties including both hit records and some lesser known titles.
Believe it or not I have been deejaying for over 50 years, having started at University in Aberdeen back in 1965

Your Night in with Mel DJ Thursdays 9:00pm till Friday & Sunday Breakfast 8:00am to 10:00am

I’m Mel DJ and I have been spinning discs (we used to do that back in the day) for over 40 years at parties, pubs and clubs all over London, the South East and beyond.
I joined Ridge Radio over 11 years as of 2024 ago although I don’t remember the exact date as my memory has gotten foggy with age and perhaps from all the partying!

Today I also help organise Ridge Radio matters and I’d love to hear from you if you are hosting, involved in or attending an event and want Ridge Radio to be help out with it, or I can talk about it in broadcasts or we can post on our website and social media pages.

As for my shows, tune in each Thursday evening from 9pm til Friday for ‘Your Night In with Mel DJ’ playing any requests and a whole lot more party sounds to bring the weekend in a little early or wake up to Sunday breakfast with me from 8am to 10am.
