Hi it’s The Saint here and I present RETROPOPIC RADIO!
Although I was born in North London most of my childhood was spent living in the Yeovil area of Somerset.
I started out as a School Careers Adviser after graduating from Keele University moving into working with children with Special Needs then onto middle management in The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea before becoming the home carer for my two young children as my wife took on the major earner role.
Living in France for awhile with my young family I gained The ICC World Volunteer of The Year Award for coaching cricket in The Charente Maritime area before emigrating to Australia where I gain my MA in primary teaching.
Since 2017 I have presented RETROPOPIC RADIO based from Sydney’s 2RRR community radio station as well as building up a listener-ship of 50,000 across 140 countries with my podcasts. The RETROPOPIC RADIO brand focuses on music of the 20th century with each edition guaranteeing an artist interview.
RETROPOPIC RADIO is the global home of the great artist interview!

Wednesday 9:00am to 10:am Tandridge Independent News Hour –
Louise spent her childhood in Chaldon, her school days in Oxted and now lives locally to Caterham.
After leaving university she worked in PR, before realising that her calling was in media. She moved to the BBC, working first in children’s television, then entertainment, drama and, finally, News.
She was an integral part of the newsroom for eight years, before taking up roles on the broadcaster’s flagship programmes Panorama and Newsnight. It was a fast-paced, challenging setting but she got to utilise her writing talents as well as developing the logistical skills needed to handle high risk news assignments across the world.
After working on major stories such as September 11th 2001, the 2004 tsunami and Benazir Bhutto’s assassination 2007, the newsroom always brought pressure
but Louise thrived on the adrenaline surge that breaking news brings.

After 18 years at the BBC the demanding nature of the job began to overtake the needs of her growing family and the opportunity to take over The Caterham and District Independent, which on 1st March 2022 changed it’s name to The Tandridge Independent Newspaper. The paper delivers local news to local residents’ doorsteps throughout the 22 towns and villages of Tandridge keeping them in touch with their community.
Each month the paper includes relevant national and international reporting, but the main focus will always be on what’s happening in Tandridge.
Environmental, educational, business, or local events: if it’s important to the community, The Tandridge Independent will cover it.
‘The Tandridge Independent News Hour’ seems like a natural extension for the paper and it aims to give residents another platform to be able to voice their opinions and ideas while delivering local news.
The Tandridge Independent Newspaper. Your Community. Your News. Your Paper and now Your Radio.
