Hi my name is Willie from Dillon, let me tell you a bit about myself

I was born in Enschede, The Netherlands in 1952 and moved to Amsterdam in 1957
Finally making the moved to the USA on the same day that Hawaii became a State! which was 21st August 1959
We were in fact the last family to be accepted in the immigration program for 1959
I lived in San Diego, California until joining the US Air Force in 1971, during the Vietnam War
After basic training, I was assigned to the 3415th Motor Pool Group stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado where I served my entire tour of duty

During this time, I became interested in music and learned to play bass guitar and later the drums
I came to love the Rocky Mountains and after John Denver released Rocky Mountain High, I was sold and decided to make Colorado my home. I moved up to the high country to Dillon, Colorado back in 1988 and I’m still here
I have played with many bands and John Denver tribute artists over time and radio came along in 2012. It was a perfect fit for me, and has been to this day!
It has given me the opportunity to meet some great musicians and singer/songwriters from Judy Collins, Michel Martin Murphy and Al Stewart!

Tune into Ridge Radio every Saturday 6:00pm to 8:00pm for some great music from the US
